One of a group of copy negatives taken from books that had photographs of the oil boom, including workers, in Smackover, Union County, Arkansas, during the early 1900s. Caption reads, "Union County, Ark. Pike, El Dorado Oil Field." The rear wheels of a wagon tended by two African American men and loaded with lumber is sunk in mud. In the background is an oil derrick.
